In 1997, a client came to my studio with a 100 year old Scottish tile, wondering if I could use it as part of a kitchen mural for her home. We added the Gaelic border, the Scottish lions and the word ‘Fáilte’, meaning ‘Welcome’ in Gaelic… Voilá..! The mural shelf is made with clay as well.
