Greek Wave – bathroom

This project was designed and completed in 2002.  The size of this bathroom is 6ft x 5.5ft.  All the tiles in this bathroom were handmade in my studio and the borders were customize to shape. Because raw clay is used, gives the ability to cut, shape and form the clay in any desired pattern. The handmade wave border mosaic tiles was inspired in historical Greek tile patterns, and glazed in five different colours of ceramic glazes. The simple design and craftsmanship gives a strong personality to the small space.

The wave border follows the perimeter of all the walls in the space. The mosaic border, small mural in niche, field tiles, as well as pencil and v-cap border are all handmade.
