Volaré – bathroom

Created in 2011 for Headbones Gallery in Vernon BC. It was a collaboration with artist Julie Oakes. Julie was working on an art project creating porcelain and glass wings at the time, so came natural to use the same theme  to create the artistic border tiles for this bathroom.

The wings are 3D glazed in bronze, inserted in the background tile that creates the rest of the bird. The bigger size turquoise wing was added as an accent part of the border.
